Ever since Apple released the panorama feature w/ the iPhone 5,
shooting them has been a blast. They are easy, look great and are an
invaluable tool for capturing scenes wider than the built in 30mm lens.
The
iPhone 5S meters panoramas dynamically, in a single exposure. Meaning,
if I'm shooting a scene with a broad range of brightness (maybe dark
mountains on my left and bright sunlight sky on the right) it will
actually change exposure/capture settings within the same capture (not
HDR) to better accommodate.

Xperia Z1
With a solid rectangular shape and flattened edges, the Z1 is easy enough to hold firmly for photography purposes, whether your orientation of choice is portrait or landscape.
Photographers have long been aware of the benefits that high dynamic-range (HDR) imaging can bring, including the ability to preserve more detail in shadow and highlight areas when in a tricky lighting condition. The Z1 boasts both HDR still and video capture, which is a very pleasant surprise. HDR photos can only be captured in the 8-megapixel resolution or lower, not the camera's full 20-megapixel output. Fortunately, the Z1 lets you take HDR video in 1080p mode.
Color splash
Color splash is one such popular app. Since its release in February
2009, Color Splash has continually been among the top 10 best-selling
iPhone photography apps in the U.S. It has consistently been in the top
100 best selling apps for most of that time as well. Further, it was
selected by Apple as one of just 50 apps to grace its
App Store Hall of Fame.

Autumn Colors by Ducan Smith
"The use of Color Splash in this photo nicely highlights the beautiful fall colors, as well as the details in the leaf."
Winstone by Andrew Clarke
"In this excellent close-up shot of an owl,
the eyes are the perfect detail to leave in color, because owls have
such wonderfully mysterious and hypnotic eyes."

Snapseed (for Iphone and Android)
Snapseed Mobile's editing choices are clearly delineated, in attractive, large graphic icons that spell out what each option does. Select any of these 14 editing options, and you'll start making adjustments to your pics. It would have been helpful to have these clustered together as adjustments and creative enhancements, just as they are on Nik's website. The newest features are filters for adding a vintage look to your image (dubbed Retrolux in the Snapseed universe) and an improved Frames filter.

Vscocam (for Iphone)
VSCO Cam comes with ten unique filters providing a minimally processed look for iPhone photos. The app sets itself apart from the overly processed filters seen in many of today's apps, as well as utilizing uncompressed jpgs to produce the highest image quality possible. In addition, a series of simple editing tools including Fade, Grain, Contrast, Exposure, FIll Light and more, enable photographers to edit their images with speed and precision.
